Corporate/Adult Urban Education
Everyone can benefit from learning about issues of poverty in their own community. We hope to encourage Corporate/Adult Urban Education groups to challenge their ideas of what poverty looks like and to understand how it effects the people they work with. Participate in the Game of Life, Penny Game, Food Stamp Challenge, Downtown Denver Walking Tour, Hunger Banquet, or listen to one of our current or previously homeless speakers in order to better understand the many forms of poverty and to learn how your business or group can realistically make a difference for those living in poverty. Our curriculum is a great way to include diversity and inclusivity training into your social responsibility programming, or a great first step towards community involvement. We offer à la carte programming to meet your needs – click on one of the links above for more detailed information about each activity.
Whether Urban Education inspires you to continue to volunteer, invest financially in one of the many nonprofits in Denver striving for social justice and change, or work towards community development, we want to empower adult groups to make a difference in their community by inspiring hope, transforming lives, and working to end poverty.
